More Warlock Buffs, W00t!
I love wow leaks, big or small. They give me a sense of anticipation, and I love it. Turns out Blizzard got ahead of themselves and released thee 3.3.2 patch notes on the Korean WoW site. WoW.com got a hold of it and translated it for us. For the most part they nerfed some heroic dungeons, buffed locks, druids, and shamans, then nerfed prot warriors lol. They also appear to be stalling the Arthas fight…
Warlocks are looking pretty hawt, the changes are all buffs, and rather decent ones at that.
Warlock
Affliction
- Shadow Embrace: Now stacks 3 times. Healing reduction effect reduced to 2/4/8/10% (down from 3/6/9/12/15%).
Demonology
- Demonic Pact: This talent now increases your spell damage by 2/4/6/8/10% (up from 1/2/3/4/5%). The benefit to party/raid members remains unchanged.
Destruction
- Conflagrate: Periodic Spell damage increased to 40% (Up from 20%)
- Empowered Imp: Damage done by imp increased to 10/20/30% (Up from 5/10/15%)
- Improved Shadow Bolt: Now increases Shadow Bolt damage 2/4/6/8/10% (Up from 1/2/3/4/5%)
Full patch notes here.
The change to Shadow Embrace will be in this patch, which I’m sure we all expected. Looks like it will only take 4pts to fill the talents (down from 5
) Though the healing reduction took a slight nerf, nothing to worry about. This change hardly effects PvP, the nerf offsets the buff in most PvP situations.
The demonic pact change is nice, it’s exactly the type of buff it needed. I’m sure the shammies are rather jealous now. Demo is still needs TONS of work but.. I’m sure they are saving the big guns for Cataclysm.
Conflag change is a straight buff, no trickery here
This stands as the unique change in this patch that effects PvP in any REAL way.
Empowered imp is now a staple for my Destro Raiding build, he really is starting to turn into a monster of a dps pet. I do wish though that he could receive buffs in phase shift.. or maybe even attack… I mean cmon would that be THAT overpowered?
Improved Shadow Bolt change is again, a straight up buff. However I do hope that these aren’t the ONLY changes they have planned in this patch for Destro raid dps. Affliction is just way too competitive dps wise, and I feel almost obligated to spec Affliction, ideally Id prefer to go Destruction.
All in all, nothing to be overly excited about, but they are nice changes none the less. I might switch to my Destro raiding build anyway, just to see what kind of numbers I can get. I will keep this post updated as well if any additional changes are made avilable. Peace
