Happy New Year everyone! Woo! so this is my second Art Music and Macros post, which I now changed to Addons, Media and Macros, because I wanted to feature videos and addons as well as the other stuff and this is all just in time for the new year! Anyways, since I have been pretty bored with WoW lately, mostly waiting for Cataclysm, I have had ample time to peruse around looking for cool warlock media for this post and I found some good shtuff. I even went through all the blizzard fan art AND snatched just about every warlock related piece of work, There are some beautiful peices there. I have also been watching a few videos on Youtube / Warcraftmovies.com in my spare time, and there is some interesting stuff there as well, I can always sit down and enjoy a good Lock PvP video. I have also been tinkering with Ui Mods which has lead me to finding out some intriguing stuff about performance. In my discoveries I have found that some addons that seem completely harmless are actually memory hogs, and you might not even know it. Anyways enough with the dilly dally shilly shally, and on with the good stuff.

Addons

This section for addons will be different than my addon spotlight post, it will mainly focus on general use addons, and not so warlock specific PER SAY.

Option House <<Clickable Link

The first one I want to share with you guys is Option House, its a simple addon that does 2 things, 1, it allows you to turn addons on and off in game which is nothing special, there are several mods that do this and  2, it gives you the ability to watch each addon’s CPU usage in a very detailed panel. This is important for people like me because it helps you find which one of your mods are causing lag spikes if any (This is very common). This is way better than Blizzards default addon memory display because it shows you exactly how much of your CPU your addons are using per second, which is the real way to see which addons are hogging your CPU.

ForteXorcist II <<Clickable Link

Forte Xorcist should be a no brainer for warlocks, I could type a book on its features and how important of an addon it is for me. Basically if you have some spare memory to use, and you are a Warlock, USE THIS ADDON. It gives you a nifty cooldown bar for all your spells which can also function as a Cooldown Pulse mod. This is good because that means you are saving memory by consolidating both features into one. The biggest part of the addon is its ability to track your buffs and debuffs, even showing when they are going to tick, and best of all, it can be completely 100% customized down to the colors for each spell. Its a big mod and can be up and running straight out of the box with little or no settings. However if you want to get the most from the addon you will have to delve into the settings and personalize it. My ForteXorcist settings are included in my addon suite Fel Fire UI. If you are in doubt, the worst thing you can do delete it right?

Music

If you are new to my Addons, Media and Macros section I split the music into major genres (Which is usually Rock and Electronic)  then add a sub genre tag to them so you can better understand what kind of music is listed Most of this music I listen to when I am either raiding or PvPing and I feel that most of the time it fits the mood, the music is intense and and fast paced.

I know everyone has their own taste so I always try to include a little variation.

Rock

I’m pretty sure everyone enjoys discovering new music, I know I do, but sometimes I don’t know where to look. Often though I find good music on PvP videos, usually warlock ones and I want to share these with my fellow warlocks

I had to include this song as I am a huge Zelda fan. I stumbled across it watching a warlock PvP video that had with out a doubt the best arena kill I have ever seen! (level 70) I will definitely include it in the next AMM.

Video

Found a really cool Lock video recently posted on WCM. He isn’t the best warlock in the world and the music is rather hardcore for my taste, however there are some amazing fights in the this video, a few 1 vs 1 and 1 vs 2! His style is very similar to Drakedog as it is a Succubus nuke style. It is definitely worth the time spent watching it all the way through as some of the good stuff is at the end. Play the video in full screen mode for the best experience.

Though I’m not a huge fan of BG PvP videos, this was entertaining for sure and I hope you guys enjoyed it.

Art

Macros

These are some Macros that “I” use, I don’t want to make this post just about random Macros, I want to actually post ones that I use or learned to use. Not all of them will be ground breakingly awesome, most of the time you might even use some of them, but for the most part I feel that there are some functions that I use in these macros that everyone can learn from or make sure of. Here are just a few.

Errorless Trinket + Chaos Bolt

This is a simple Chaos bolt macro, I use it in tandem with my spell power trinket. Most players will be very familiar with this kind of macro, but I’m sure there are a few of you out there that might now know how to build one like this. This one also suppresses the error spam that would normally be associated with the trinket not being available when you cast this inside its cooldown.

Spammable CoE – Rogue Finder Ver. 2

I posted a version of this macro last time on AMM, but I have since then done some revisions. This macro will cast curse of elements on the nearest enemy even without a target while also commanding your Voidwalker to Consume Shadows for the nice stealth detect. It uses a nochanneling fuction that allows it to be spammed without clipping the cast time on consume shadows. One of my favorite macros!

Mind Amplification Dish

This is a macro for the few warlocks that use this tinker. Since we can’t mind control someone when we have a pet, so this macro dissmisses it and uses the tinker
