Patch 3.3 Gold Tips

Alright so, I apologize for this being so late (most will read then while the servers are down, leaving little time to prepare) and I won’t do it again, I assure you but as you know there are a lot of changes coming with this patch, and there are some great ways to make some crazy gold, abusing the changes. Below is a list I have compiled of tips for getting the most out of 3.3. Most of these can be used before and AFTER 3.3 hits, so even if you are reading this late, there is still time! 1. Saronite Bar -> Titanium Bar Transmute Cooldown Lifted

This has sent buyers running to grab up all the Saronite Bars and Ore that they can find in anticipation for transmuting them into titanium bars. What will this do? Decrease the value of titanium bars and all the items made from them, as well as increase the value of saronite bars. Saronite ore will also be affected and this will greatly damage the profitability of the ‘Saronite Shuffle.’ Infinite dusts being made more readily thanks to a recent hotfix will also help to ruin the profitability of this method. Will it still exist after 3.3? Probably, but it will not be as profitable.

2. Heavy Borean Leather to Arctic Furs

Arctic furs and 10 heavy borean leather are going to even out to the same price.

3. Rare/Epic Gems going up in value along with other with upgrades

People are going to be upgrading at an insane pace thanks to the 5 mans. Not to mention the fact that t9 will also be available for triumph badges and 5 mans will drop it. Getting 25 arena points for the daily bg will help people upgrade somewhat faster as well. Leg enchants, enchanted vellums, titanium ore and spellthreads should see huge price increases for the first few weeks of the patch.

4. Raid Consumables

The more top end raiding guilds you have the better this market will be on your server. Everything from flasks to potions to elixirs to fish feasts will fly off the proverbial auction house shelves.

5. Snowfall Ink Glyphs

Two new glyphs are appearing which cost snowfall ink. Expect the price to rise on your server for these inks. I predict that it will increase even more so than the week of a darkmoon faire.

6. Pygmy Suckerfish Flood Incoming

With the emphasis on fishing and leveling fishing thanks to the new fishing competition expect pygmy suckerfish to flood the auction house. Definitely look for some great deals on turning these into pygmy oils for resale directly or indirectly as potions.

7. Disenchanting Option

Disenchanting option is equal to greed. If you roll a 90 on De and someone with greed rolls an 89 you will win the item in disenchanted form.

8. Random Dungeon

People will run WAY more dungeons thanks to this new tool. Get ready for enchanting mats to drop like a rock with this new option. People will que for dungeons the way they que for battlegrounds, resulting in far more runs and the incentives to try this new tool will have everyone doing it.

9. BOA Shoulder Enchants

Say goodbye to what was left of the Relics of Ulduar market.

10. New Leveling Rings

Say goodbye to the amazing profits of selling low level bis rings. Look into disenchanting if the mats for these rings plummet.

11. Crystallized Show and Earth -> New Ammo for hunters
In 3.3 there will be 2 new types of ammo for hunters, they are marked as 91.5 dps (and increase of 24 dps over the current best in game). These will be made by engineers (another potential good money maker for engineers).

What do they require? Well apparently:

Iceblade Arrow Reagents: Crystallized Shadow x 2
Shatter Rounds Reagents: Crystallized Earth x 2

Although I wouldn’t be surprised if the mats change slightly in quantity.
These items are likely to go up in value because of this.

12. New Pets Profit
On the PTR, Breanni from Dalaran now Sells two new pets.

These pets are Calico Cat and Albino Snake.

They are listed for 40g, and they look like this:

Of course not many people will know about their existence for like 2-3 weeks after 3.3 goes live (excluding you guys of course). So you can buy them for like 40 gold and list them on the auction house for like 100g. That’s a nice profit . Don’t spam trade chat with this trick however, chances are you will be ratted out and exposed by other haters.

13. Portable Hole
As you may know, they added a new bag to Haris Pilton’s inventory, The interesting thing his is the bag is BoE and that means one thing… Re-selling. Many people will not be aware of this new bag and there will be profit to be made. 3000 gold might seem a lot, but it really isn’t to a lot of people (especially your target audience) and reselling this for 5000 isn’t going to be impossible.

It’s a risk, but I’m bringing it to your attention so you can decide whether you want to take it

14. Last but not least, the auctioneer’s dream, a profit spreadsheet.

This little baby is like my pride and joy. It wasn’t created by me, rather created by a member of a little forum I visit. Basically in a nutshell you use this spreadsheet with either Microsoft Word or Open Office, enter the prices of the items listed on your server in the fields required, and the sheet will tally everything up and show you your profit on items that you ca create, buy and sell, combine, you name it.
