Afflock School: The Nevermelting Corruption
Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Crit: an Afflock’s Tale
I have bad news for you.
Mages have a use.
Ever since the start of Wrath, Warlocks have been treated to the simply fantastic talent called Everlasting Affliction. This, combined with the equally rad Pandemic, means that in a standard “Stand-and-Deliver” fight, we should only need to cast Corruption once. While both talents have been changed substantially since release, the basic idea is that Corruption just… stays. But that raises some important questions, doesn’t it? How much spellpower does it have? How much crit? Since the Glyph of Quick Decay came into play, when does it calculate haste, and when does it lose it? And more importantly… why are there so many newly-minted 80 warlocks in Pit of Saron!? And why would we -ever- want to talk to a mage?!

Xzilend’s Keybindings Guide
Hello everyone, my name is Xzilend and I am one of the new bloggers to join the writing community here at Felfire, and I hope to use my experience of warlocking in the World of Warcraft to supply both interesting and useful content to the site. My main area of expertise in WoW revolves around demonology in both PVE and PVP content. As such, my articles will primarily cover demonology, but will also reach beyond the intricacies of the talent specialization and move into more general topics, such as the one I am presenting today. This is a guide to creating personalized keybindings for your characters in which I delve into the conflict between keybindings and clicking spells, and provide videos which act as a theoretical guide to the process of keybinding.

A Warlock’s Guide to Storming the Citadel
Hey everyone. I received a lot of comments after my Saurfang Guide asking me questions about other encounters in Icecrown. There are lots of good guides out there to consult, but my goal with this guide series is to break down the fights to what you as a caster – and more specifically, a warlock – need to worry about. This first segment will focus on the first four bosses from Lord Marrowgar to a review of Deathbringer Saurfang.

A Warlock’s Guide to Deathbringer Saurfang

Hey guys, my name is Jaeda. This is my debut project here at Fel Fire, a mini-guide for Deathbringer Saurfang in Icecrown Citadel. There are lots of raid guides out there, but they can often be very vague, or overwhelm you with information. I’ve condensed the encounter to what you – as a warlock – need to be worried about, and how you can help make this fight cake, no lies.

Patch 3.3.3 Warlocky Roundup
MMOChamp says the patch deploys this week, which means we get our sweet little buff muffins
Chances are you have seen the existing patch notes, not much has changed really since they were all first announced, just a few pleasant buffs. Another patch means another few agonizing days of broken mods
then swiftly mended by short act of aggresion that I will most likely take out on a small gome, I imagine he won’t enjoy my critting immolate. For this roundup though I want to take a different approach to analyzing the specs, something less based on graphs and numbers and more about you, the player. I hope you enjoy the comprehensive format.

Getting rid of that extra Hit
A very common problem that seemed to pop up recently with the addition of Ice Crown Citadel, is that of having too much hit, and not having many options of getting rid of it. I ran into this problem myself. I somehow lost track of exactly how much Hit I had, got blinded by all the pretty ilvl, and completely went over the hit cap. I’m pretty sure I was sitting on about 550 hit (My goal being 350 or so
) I had also just got accepted into a great raiding guild by the grace of a friend, which meant I would soon be the center of a great amount of scrutiny, so yeah I needed to dump it fast. Did I mention I hate Hit?
